I joined Queen Margaret University (ÎÞÂëȺ½») in January 2017 and currently serve as a Lecturer in the Division of Nursing and Paramedic Science. Since September 2020, I have been the Programme Leader for the BSc (Hons) Nursing and Master of Nursing courses.
In April 2024, I successfully led the review and revalidation of both the BSc (Hons) Nursing and Master of Nursing programmes. Additionally, I represent the pre-registration nursing programmes on several local and national committees, collaborating with other Higher Education Institutions and Health Boards to ensure quality assurance and enhance the student experience in both theoretical and practical learning.
Additionally, I act as the Collaborative Academic Link between ÎÞÂëȺ½» and Metropolitan College for the BSc (Hons) Nursing programme.
My clinical interests lie in emergency nursing care, with extensive experience in Accident and Emergency and Acute Medical Units in both Greece and the UK. I am also deeply passionate about HIV/AIDS care and supporting individuals living with this condition.
I earned my PhD in 2025 with a dissertation titled ‘’.
My PhD research focused on the lived experiences of people living with HIV, particularly in relation to uncertainties and coping strategies. I am passionate about exploring individuals' understanding of their social identity and their position in the social world. I am also a member of the Centre for Person-centred Practice Research Centre at ÎÞÂëȺ½».

I am primarily involved in the pre-registration nursing programmes, including the BSc (Hons) Nursing and Master of Nursing programmes. I work closely with our Collaborative Partners at Metropolitan College to enhance and ensure the quality of the BSc (Hons) Nursing programme, aligning with ÎÞÂëȺ½» standards.
- Achieved Senior Fellowship of the Higher Education Academy in 2021.
- Winner of the Douglas Award for Most Inspirational Staff Member within the School of Health Sciences in March 2023.
